چکیده
Objective Due to the substantial prevalence of patellofemoral pain syndrome and importance quadriceps strengthening in knee rehabilitation, determining best way activate strengthen patella stabilizing muscles is considered as one important keys treatment. The aim this study evaluate effect different hip rotations associated with ankle dorsiflexion during maximal straight leg raising (SLR) maneuver sitting position on thickness fibers angle vastus medialis oblique (VMO) lateralis (VL) using ultrasonography. Materials & Methods This quasi-experimental was performed 40 individuals (healthy group: 20, [PFPS] 20). VMO VL fiber were measured ultrasonography SLR 6 positions: internal, external, neutral without dorsiflexion. Results In between-group comparison, no significant difference found for all variables maneuvers (P>0.05). within-group external rotation compared other positions resulted a increase both groups (P<0.05). Also, adding significantly increased VL. Conclusion By changing or SLR, trend changes two followed same pattern. Moreover, performing can be recommendable rehabilitation PFPS.

Kinematics of Hip, Knee and Ankle During Cross- Slope Walking
Purpose: Little information is available on joint kinematic adaptations during walking on cross-slope surfaces (i.e. a surface incline perpendicular to the direction of locomotion). This study aimed to evaluate the effects of cross-slope surfaces on three-dimensional (3D) kinematics of hip, knee, and ankle joints during stance phase of walking. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study...

Introduction: Increased fatigue causes injuries, the purpose of this article was to investigate the angular displacement of the hip and knee joints in girls with patellofemoral syndrome. Materials and Methods: Thirty girls with an average age (age 28.73±1.83, height 168.49±5.59, weight 63.73±12.73) participated in this study in two groups of 15, experimental and control. The jet evaluati...

Introduction and aim: Ascending and descending stairs are one of the challenging activities for people with patellofemoral pain syndrome. Kinesiotype is one of the rehabilitation methods to improve the symptoms of patellofemoral pain syndrome. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of kinesiotype on electromyographic activity and co-contraction of knee muscles in patients with patellofemoral ...

متن کاملThe Comparison of Hip Abductors with Hip External Rotator Muscles Fatigue on Static Standing Balance in Subjects with and without Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome
Purpose: The patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS) is one of the most common musculoskeletal disorders of the knee joint. Hip muscles’ weakness is one of the reasons for PFPS occurrence. The aim of this study was to recognize the effective muscle group in prevention and treatment of patients with PFPS. Methods: This is a prospective and quasi-experimental study in which 30 participants (15 ...
